Our company was founded in the early 1980s by Chase E. Furnas, Sr. when he began managing a handful of properties for clients in Spartanburg while practicing commercial real estate. Soon thereafter, he moved to Columbia to pursue commercial real estate opportunities and turned the management business over to his son, Chase E. Furnas, Jr.
Chase E. Furnas, Jr. is a native of Spartanburg. He graduated from Spartanburg High School and attended USC Upstate before earning his Real Estate license and becoming Broker-in-Charge of our company. He became owner/operator of Chase E. Furnas & Company In 1982 and dedicated his efforts to providing the most competitive and affordable property management service to owners and residents in the area. His commitment to this goal has resulted in steady and consistent growth in the 35 years since! Our success can be attributed in large part to his experience, knowledge of the area, emphasis on accountability, and resolve to represent his clients fairly, treating each investment as his own. He has shared these values with his very dedicated and qualified staff below:
Mike Epps, Managing Director/Realtor
Mike is a native of Spartanburg and graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BA in Retail Management. He has had an active interest in purchasing and holding real estate since 2006. He serves as Planning Commissioner for the City of Spartanburg and is on the Board of Trustees for Saint James United Methodist Church. Mike joined our team in 2010 and has obtained both his Property Management and Real Estate Sales Licenses. In his role as Managing Director, Mike oversees all assets currently under management to ensure they are operating to the owner’s best interest. His objective is to assist new and existing clients maximize their real estate investment potential and goals. His knowledge and experience allow him to provide sound advice and recommendations to clients while also troubleshooting maintenance issues with residents and coordinating necessary repairs.
Amber Furnas, Office Manager/Property Manager
Amber is also a native of Spartanburg and graduate of Wofford College with a BA in English. After working in the legal field for a number of years, she joined the staff of Chase E. Furnas & Co. part-time in 2002 and full-time in 2006, later obtaining her Property Manager License. Amber oversees managerial duties and client/resident relations. She strives to represent the company’s core value of providing the best comprehensive service to our clients and customers.
Terri Satterfield, Property Manager
Terri is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and graduate of William Woods College with a degree in Business. She moved to Spartanburg in 1986, raised her 2 daughters here and worked in risk management for Denny’s Corporation from 1997-2003. She then moved to Myrtle Beach where she worked as a property manager in vacation rentals for approximately 10 years. Terri also obtained her Real Estate license in 2008. She moved back to Spartanburg in January of 2017 and joined our team. Her experience, knowledge of the business, and attention to detail make her a true asset to our company! She is dedicated to ensuring the needs of customers, residents, and owners are addressed in an efficient and professional manner.
Casey Robinson, Administrative Assistant
Casey has 10 years of customer service, financial, and managerial experience and is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management. She moved to Spartanburg in early 2017 and has quickly familiarized herself with the area. She is energetic, personable, and dedicated to quality service. Casey is always ready to assist with any questions you may have to ensure you get the answers you need. She is a great addition to our team!
